🔥 Holika Dahan Significance (धार्मिक महत्व):
Holika Dahan symbolizes the victory of good over evil. यह त्योहार भक्त प्रह्लाद की आस्था और होलिका की हार की कहानी से जुड़ा है। According to mythology, Holika, who had a boon that fire wouldn’t harm her, tried to burn Prahlad in fire. But due to his devotion to Lord Vishnu, Holika got burnt and Prahlad remained unharmed.
This festival teaches us that sincerity and devotion always defeat evil, no matter how strong it seems.
🌼 Holika Dahan Puja Vidhi (पूजा विधि):
- Prepare a Holika pyre using wood, cow dung cakes (उपले), dry grass, etc.
- Place Holika and Prahlad effigies in the center.
- Perform puja during shubh muhurat with roli, rice (अक्षत), turmeric, moong, flowers, and sweets.
- Offer coconut (नारियल) and new harvest grains (जौ या गेहूं की बालियां).
- After puja, light the Holika and take parikrama (circumambulation) of the fire 3 or 7 times.
